Mechanical Engineer

 

Chris is a resourceful and knowledgeable mechanical engineer that has been working with The Aquila Group since 2011. Chris has a strong focus on sustainable design and development with a passion for building mechanical designs that emphasize energy and efficiency while maintaining comfort.

Specializing in the design of mechanical systems for large and complex buildings, his expertise includes office and tenant HVAC design and plumbing design. Chris has taken a leadership role in optimizing designs to achieve the best performance at minimum life cycle cost.

 

Recently, Chris has taken part in several decarbonization studies for downtown Toronto office towers, where he was able to identify low-cost opportunities for buildings to recover waste heat to improve building performance while reducing carbon emissions.

 

Prior to joining Aquila, Chris graduated from the University of Waterloo Mechanical Engineering where he gained extensive experience building mechanical design through several co-op terms. In his free time, Chris enjoys staying active and the outdoors.
